Our Story & Local Roots

Stockton & Stockton, LLC has been part of the fabric of Clayton and Northeast Georgia since 1952. Founded by the late V.D. Stockton, our firm has proudly served Rabun County and the surrounding region for over seventy years. Generations of Stocktons have provided legal counsel to neighbors, friends, and families across North Georgia—building deep local roots and relationships with the courts, officials, and community members.


Today, the firm is led by Allyn Stockton, who carries on a legacy of dedication, service, and trusted advocacy. Allyn’s grandfather, V.D. Stockton, once served as District Attorney for the circuit, and the Stockton name is synonymous with legal integrity in the area. With more than 25 years of experience as a Georgia attorney, Allyn continues to put clients first, blending big-picture strategy with the personal approach only a small-town firm can provide.

Allyn Stockton
Attorney

Licensed in Georgia since 1997, Allyn Stockton is known for his work in criminal defense and personal injury law. He serves as the Rabun County Attorney and has represented clients in high-profile matters—including a case for former New York City mayor Rudy Giuliani. Allyn’s approach is rooted in genuine care for each client, deep understanding of local courts, and a fierce commitment to results. His focus areas include serious criminal cases, accident and injury claims, and helping families plan for the future with wills and probate.

Jessicah Briley
Paralegal & Office Manager

Jessicah Briley serves as the Office Manager and Paralegal at Stockton & Stockton, LLC in Clayton, Georgia. With more than ten years of experience in the legal field, she plays a vital role in the firm’s daily operations while providing consistent and reliable support to the attorneys and clients the firm serves. Her background includes extensive experience in criminal defense, personal injury matters, DUI cases, and traffic violations,  allowing her to contribute effectively  across multiple practice areas.

Jessicah earned an Associate of Applied Science degree in Paralegal Studies and is a member of  NALA – The Paralegal Association, reflecting her commitment to professionalism and continued  growth within the legal profession. She is known for her thoughtful, client-focused approach and  places strong emphasis on compassion, communication, and attention to detail. Jessicah believes it is essential that every client feels valued, informed, and supported throughout the legal  process!
